Dan comes to Milledgeville after 12 seasons of golf in Augusta, GA at a premier facility as the GM/Director of Golf. Dan originally grew up in Vero Beach, FL where he played baseball as a youth and later played at the college level in NC before starting his career in the golf industry. Dan is a PGA Certified Professional in Golf Operations, Player Development and General Management and has been a member of the PGA for the past 25 years.
Dan brings a wealth of experience in developing programs for instruction, operations and tournament management. Dan enjoys teaching golf mechanics and theory; working with all ages, styles and levels of golfers. He excels at developing a staff that is informed and attentive to the member’s needs and their expectations. Dan is also a certified club fitter for Callaway and can perform most any necessary club repair.
Dan has been married to his beautiful wife Sharon for 36 years; together they are raising their grandsons Clayton 8 and Branton 11. Dan and his family are excited by the move to Milledgeville and opportunity to join our family at TCLS. Dan said, “We are so fortunate to become part of the TCLS family as we continue to grow the Club’s unique culture by enhancing our member’s golf experiences on a daily basis. I look forward to serving our members, their guests and the entire Milledgeville – Baldwin County community.”

Darren Davenport, GCSAA is a native of Greensboro, GA. He and his wife Julia have two beautiful daughters Natalie and Victoria; living in the family home where he spent his childhood. Darren has been in the golf industry for the past 36+ years, most recently as the Golf Course Superintendent at two premier daily fee facilities in the Augusta area enjoying success during his tenure spanning more than two decades. Darren has been a member of ‘The Golf Course Superintendent’s Association of America’ and ‘The Georgia Golf Course Superintendent’s Association’ for the past 30-years; winning multiple awards for best course conditions in the Augusta Area. He has served on various charitable committees, including ‘The Wee One Foundation’ which helps families of fallen superintendents.
Darren is excited to become the newest Team Leader at The Club saying “I look forward to becoming part of the TCLS family while Julia and I support local causes that help make Central Georgia a great place to work, play and raise a family.”
